We believe that music is not a commodity, but rather a commons, just like food or water. Musical knowledge is a basic human necessity, and cannot be ripped away from those who crave it simply due to socio-economic status, or due to the lack of access to resources like instruments and a good teacher. This is precisely what happens in communities in certain neighbourhoods.

We will strive to provide these opportunities for aspiring musicians across Toronto, ranging from those only mildly interested in an instrument to those who are considering pursuing music as a hobby or even a profession.

We will not be satisfied until every child in Toronto has access to musical education. This includes providing lessons and instruments to those who need them, and supporting music programs in schools across the city.
